The term “fintech” is being used more and more in the modern world. Fintech stands for financial technology and covers technology-enabled model innovation in the design and delivery of financial services and product. It is now a broad category that refers to the innovative use of technology in personal and commercial finance. The applications of fintech extend across various business sectors, including initial public offerings (IPO), insurance, lending, investment management, payments, etc. The purpose of the course is to provide students with an opportunity to explore the fintech applications and the related theories such as information economics.
This is a practical course with heavy emphasis on guest lectures, modern application studies, and projects.
